Terms of Use
Last updated: May 2026
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to all users of the Beze platform, including employees who access earned wages and employers who connect their payroll systems. By using Beze, you agree to these terms.
2. Our service
Beze provides a pay on-demand service. This is not a loan, credit facility, or buy-now-pay-later product. Beze enables employees to access a portion of wages they have already earned before their scheduled payday. Advances are reconciled through the employer’s payroll in the same pay cycle.
3. Your responsibilities as an employee user
As an employee user of Beze, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration and verification
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Not attempt to access more than your earned wages
- Notify us of any changes to your employment status
- Understand that advances will be deducted from your next pay
4. Employer and payroll responsibilities
Employers who connect to Beze agree to:
- Provide accurate payroll data through the connected payroll system
- Process reconciliation deductions as provided by Beze each pay cycle
- Maintain the payroll system connection
- Not discriminate against employees who use or do not use Beze
5. Fees and charges
Beze charges a flat fee per advance to employees. Fees are always displayed before an advance is confirmed. Fees are capped at a monthly maximum. There is no interest, no penalties for early or late activity, and no hidden charges. Employers are not charged for the Beze service.
6. Use of the website and app
You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose. You must not attempt to interfere with the platform’s operation, reverse engineer any part of the service, or use automated tools to access the platform.
7. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, and technology on the Beze platform are owned by Beze Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.
8. Disclaimers and limitations
Beze provides the service on an “as is” basis. While we strive for continuous availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Beze is not a financial adviser and does not provide financial advice. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by New Zealand law.
9. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint about the Beze service, contact us at complaints@beze.co.nz. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and resolve within 20 working days. If we can’t resolve it together, you have a right to escalate to our independent Dispute Resolution Scheme at no cost. Full details, including statutory timeframes under New Zealand law, are on our Feedback and complaints page.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time. Beze may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated. Outstanding advances must be reconciled before account closure.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
